The Malak Malak people have strong access rights over the Daly River under terms granted to them through the Land Rights Act during the 1980's.
Shadow Minister for Fisheries, Willem Westra van Holthe says that he met with a number of the affected traditional owners yesterday and that they expressed serious concerns over their exclusion from the decision making process.
