What is Live Streaming Audio?

Streaming Audio is the delivery of audio content over the Internet. Your computer receives the audio data in small pieces, and this process allows you to start playing the material as it downloads. This means that you don't have to download a whole file before being able to listen to it.

What do I need to listen to NIRS's Radio Stream?

To listen to Live Streaming Audio, you need a sound card and speakers or headphones for your computer.

To play Streaming Audio, you need players which will allow you to stream the audio from the Internet.

Finally, you need a link to the stream - these can be found above, and vary according to your player - just click on the Stream link above that corresponds with your preferred audio player.

Can I download NIRS Radio programs?

The National Indigenous Radio Service allows users to stream its audio content, but unless otherwise specified, we do not allow users to download and save our content.
