Native Title Conference 2013 wraps upPosted on June 06, 2013
The Federal Opposition's Indigenous Affairs Spokesperson, Nigel Scullion, has given the closing address at this year's National Native Title Conference in Alice Springs.
He says if the Coalition gets into power in September, they would aim to speed up the Native Title process for claimants and work with and support groups to develop their land.
The conference was attended by groups around the country, as well as academics and business and government bodies.
Meanwhile, Native Title expert Russell Taylor from the Australian Institute of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Studies spoke to NITV News about some of the attitudes at the conference.
